Selected Writings (Oxford World's Classics)
Published in Paperback by Oxford University Press (January, 1999)
Average review score:

Hazlitt!William Hazlitt, though not much read today, remains one of the greatest prose stylists of the language, and with Dequincey, one of the two best of the romantic age. A must!

Selina: Countess of Huntingdon: Her Pivotal Role in the 18th Century Evangelical Awakening
Published in Hardcover by Banner of Truth (January, 2002)
Average review score:

Putting it all together!Faith Cook has done an incredible job on Selina, the Countess of Huntingdon, and weaving the characters of the 18th C revival into an understandable history. In doing so, she has not only allowed the realism of each character to be displayed (graces & faults!) but has provided the reader with a real exciting read! In presenting the life of the Countess she has provided a tremendous story of inspiration as we see that even one who experienced deep hardships, was on fire for the gospel, and undivided in her zeal to see men and women come to know Christ through the preaching of his Word. I recommend it highly!!

The Settlement Cook Book: The Way to a Man's Heart, 1903
Published in Hardcover by Applewood Books (September, 1996)
Average review score:

Excellent "basic" cookbookI received this book as a gift about 15 years ago & it is by far my most often used. It was originally copyrighted in 1901 & has been revised many times, however many of the recipes still appear as they did then. Recipes range from the very simple (scrambled eggs or grilled cheese sandwiches) to exotic (Fondue Bourguignonne). It will take you from breakfast to an after dinner cordial - all from scratch. Recipes are easy to follow. Basic equivalents (i.e.2.20 pounds = 1 kilo) & substitutions make converting any recipe easy. And it contains much more than just recipes. There are menu planning ideas, freezing, canning & dehydrating charts, special diet recipes, & even a stain removal guide! This is a great book for the beginning cook or someone that needs a bit of everything all in one place.

Sister of the Sword (Barbarians, Book 3)
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Wizards of the Coast (May, 2002)
Average review score:

A thrilling Conclusion to a splendid Trilogy!Brother and sister Amero and Nianki are reunited in this epic tale of the Barbarians.... While one tribe is allied with a bronze dragon and one is allied with perhaps the most exquisitely written green dragon in Dragonlance-dom, Sthenn, a battle takes place that will draw into it race of good and evil... will there be balance? Yes. Will characterization and action be well balanced? Heck yes! This book made me thrill and tears were certainly shed at points of the story. Overall Thompson and Cook prove to me that they can write Krynn well... The female warrior Karada is easily a heroine to rival favorites like Laurana... well done!

The Skull & Crossbones Squadron: Vf-17 in World War II (Schiffer Military/Aviation History)
Published in Hardcover by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd. (February, 1998)
Average review score:

This is the real stuff carefully & meticulously documented. This review is not a review. My Jolly Rogers shipmates and I lived it and some of us died in the struggle for the Solomon Islands and the Japanese kingpin at Rabaul.
My good friend Lee Cook from faraway England dedicated himself to this task for the better part of four years, and succeeded admirably.
We were bentwing Corsair fighter pilots. We gave it our best. For a time we were the uttermost tip of the spear of National power. We made a difference.
I hope you read about us.
Lee offered me the privilege of writing the foreword. I accepted as a heartfelt honor.
Very repectfully,
Wm. L. Landreth Commander U. S. Navy (ret.)

Slave Pits of the Undercity (Dungeon Module A1)
Published in Paperback by Random House Trade Paperbacks (October, 1980)
Average review score:

Classic Greyhawk dungeon crawlThis is the first in a series of 4 modules, and is one of the most highly-regarded AD&D adventures of all time. David Cook vastly increased the sophistication of the game with his outstanding examples of puzzle solving, teamwork, and ingeniously deceitful "dungeon crawl" environments. For years, the Slavelords of the Pomarj have terrorized the Wild Coast, ranging as far as Greyhawk itself; now, it's time to put an end to the marauders! But of course, it's far worse than the players suspect... a classic adventure for levels 4-7.
